Who we are
SourdoughAI is built by a small team that's been baking sourdough for years and shipping software for longer. We are the same people who write the journal, design the app, and answer support emails. You can reach us at info@jhobbie.com.
How the AI works (briefly)
Sourdough fermentation is mostly governed by temperature, starter health, hydration, and inoculation rate. SourdoughAI takes those inputs from your kitchen and your bake history, then estimates how long bulk fermentation, proof, and cold retard will take for this dough, in this kitchen, today.
We don't pretend the model is psychic. It's a fermentation model calibrated against thousands of logged bakes, with a confidence interval. After 5–10 of your own logged bakes, we typically predict end-of-bulk within ~15 minutes.
Editorial standards
- Every article in the journal is written by a named author with sourdough experience.
- Recipes are tested in a real home kitchen — not generated.
- Comparison pages are kept up to date and verified against the live App Store listings each quarter.
- We don't use affiliate links on tool reviews. We earn money when people buy in-app purchases in the SourdoughAI app, not when they buy a competitor.
